About Cards[]
The card feature is only in the first Disney Magical World game and it is unlocked after the player brings the king card to the King. The King card can be found from doing a favor for a resident.
Around every half-day in Castleton, a Disney character may have a pink card icon above them. If you greet the character when you see it, they will offer you a card with a theme that corresponds to their franchise/universe (e.g. Stitch will give you cards based on the Lilo and Stitch franchise). Characters will always give out cards when they arrive at a party. Sometimes, the card may not be rewarded even if you've greeted them, in which case you need to step back, let their text bubbles appear, and perform a greeting again. Since there are a limited amount of cards, the characters may give you duplicate card that you've already gotten. The characters in Castleton change every 12 or so hours, and the cards they give out may change depending on the time. One last method of obtaining cards is trading with the Chamberlain in Castleton. For every 3 (duplicate) cards you give him, he will bring you one random card in exchange (this way can be the only way to obtain certain cards). The cards will then be added to your Card Album. You can only trade duplicate cards; if you have only one instance of a certain card, you can't trade it, and it will stay in your Card Album. Each card has a certain rarity: Normal (Regular-colored border, first 3 columns in album), Rare (Silver border, 4th column in album), and Super Rare (Golden border, 5th column in album). You will receive stickers for your first rare/super rare card you get from the Chamberlain, and for when you collect 100 and 200 cards.
Types of Cards[]
- Character Cards: These are the standard type of cards, which will be assigned to characters that match their themes. Examples include Mickey Mouse giving you a Mickey Mouse card, and Jack Skellington giving you a The Nightmare Before Christmas card.
- Non-standard cards: For cards whose characters aren't in the game. Since there isn't a character to obtain them from, you can instead obtain these from trading with the Chamberlain, though the card he gives out is by pure chance, and it may also be a character card, as well.
