Coalem is the Final Boss Ghost of Aladdin's World. He appears in 2 episodes: "Get the Lamp Back!" and "Genie's On a Rampage?!"
Appearance[]
Coalem is a massive floating ghost of stone who resembles a tower. A large red flame burns brightly at the top of his head, making him a torch, as well. He has a long segmented tail and two giant levitating hands that can move independently from the body. He also has two glowing yellow eyes, one of which is shut. Coalem has chains around its torso, and a yellow glowing core in the center. The ghost has two flying crystals with bronze crowns that he can use to attack who are normally blue, but change colors depending on the attack they use.
Attack Patterns[]
Before you attack Coalem himself, you must deal with his crystals. The attacks of the crystals are as follows:
- The crystals turn red and start shooting fireballs towards you, leaving flame spots on the ground. This can be easily avoided if you run away from the flames and use the magic twirl.
- The crystals turn yellow and form of damaging ring of electricity while advancing towards you. Once again, run and twirl to avoid this.
- The crystals turn green and shoot lasers in random directions. This one can be unpredictable, so do your best to dodge it.
- On some occasions, a crystal will fly high up, but won't have a colored aura around it. This means that you can't attack it until it regains its aura.
When you defeat a crystal, it turns grey, stops glowing, and falls to the floor. Once you beat both of them, Coalem will rise from his stationary position and begin attacking you:
- One of Coalem's attacks is to raise his hands up and lower them down to where you are standing. Watch for the shadows below you and run/twirl to dodge.
- He may also try to slap where you are standing, first with one hand, then with the other in rapid succession. This attack may be done rather quickly, so you'll have to be quick, too.
- Finally, Coalem may attempt to bring down his whole body on you and slam the ground. Thankfully, this attack is very slow and close-ranged, so you won't have much of a problem. This will also give you an opportunity to attack him.
Once time has gone on for long enough, Coalem will collapse to the ground, giving you much time to attack him freely. After several moments, he'll rise up again, enter the stationary position, the crystals will activate again, and the cycle repeats.
