Enemies are hazards in any video game that often impede the player's progress or deal damage to them. In the Disney Magical World games, enemies can be found when going on quests, and they are in the form of ghosts you can only defeat with wands. Most of the ghosts usually start jumping or idling around, then beginning their attack pattern. Then they stop, cool down, and the same thing happens over and over again until the enemy is defeated. There is a variation of different enemies, each with a different attack pattern. Some enemies are stronger than others and take away larger amounts of HP when they attack, while some are smaller and weaker. When defeated, they will drop a number of coins, MP, and sometimes Magic Stones (mostly larger ghosts and Boss Ghosts). Information on the ghosts, including types, appearances, attack patterns, and more are listed below. Most enemy species' constantly show up in different sizes, with different HP gauges.
There are four categories of ghosts.
Ghosts are regular ghosts that are encountered throughout the whole quest. Usually, at least one variation of a ghost will make at least one appearance as a boss ghost.
Boss Ghosts are stronger and more eventful ghosts that are encountered during episodes and they MUST be killed in order for the player to proceed further into the quest. They are usually larger and harder to defeat than the other ghosts from that particular episode. Most ghosts that make appearances as boss ghosts (not FINAL boss ghosts) make more appearances as regular ghosts.
Final Boss Ghosts are extremely large ghosts that are very difficult to defeat. They are very powerful and have a large amount of HP. There are very few final boss ghosts that players have to encounter in the games.
There is a fourth category of ghost whose name is not clear, but it can be called a Powerful/Mini-Boss/Nightmare Ghost. These types of ghosts are large ghosts with a ghastly purple fog surrounding them and sometimes yellow eyes, and are completely optional, meaning that they don't have to be vanquished in order to continue on with a quest. These ghosts guard chests with neon green locks and chains on them. When you defeat the ghost, the chest will be unlocked, and the player will have access to the materials inside.
The enemies get stronger as you progress through a world, obtaining more HP and damaging more to match up with the player's improving wands and quest clothes.
Regular and boss ghosts (and their variations)[]
Note: Most ghosts that have made appearances as boss ghosts only were boss ghosts for that one episode and continue to appear as regular ghosts throughout the rest of the episodes. However, some ghosts can appear as Boss Ghosts more than once, and those that were first encountered as regular ghosts may appear as a Boss Ghost in an episode or two.
Disney Magical World 1[]
Spooklet[]
Spooklet is the first ghost you encounter in the game. It is a round ghost with a simple pumpkin-like face, small tail, and medium and dark purple stripes. Its attack method is to charge forward slowly before bouncing back. Stronger versions include the Spookledy-Boo, with red stripes, the Spook-Spookler, with yellow and red stripes, and Kerspookles, with grey stripes.
Blastghast[]
The Blastghast is a ghost first introduced in Cinderella's World. It is a blue ghost with a pointed light blue head, a similar face to the Spooklet, and two slender, black arms. It attacks by lurching back with an audible crack and dashing forward with a yellow aura once before getting exhausted. There is also a red version called the Gassy Blastghast that can strike twice in a row.
Poppin[]
Poppin is the first Boss Ghost you encounter in Cinderella's World and the whole game, and the second ghost you find overall. After the first encounter, you'll start seeing Poppins as regular enemies and occasionally boss ghosts (again). It is a green stalk with several types of foliage on the top and bottom, and a face that bears a likeness to the Blastghast. This stationary enemy spits red, spiky balls with ghostly faces at you, which deal damage when engaging contact with the player. The stronger variation, Pip-Poppin, has a purple hue and its balls bounce in a random pattern instead of continuing straight.
Thuddoom[]
Thuddoom is a ghost that first appeared in the episode "No Ball?" as a boss. It looks similar to a traditional "bedsheet" ghost, and attacks by leaping high into the air and attempting to land on the player. Its attack is marked by a large circular shadow on the ground and a cartoonish dropping sound. There is a stronger variation located in Aladdin's World known as Duddoom that has a red hue, a bun on its head, and remains in the air for a shorter time.
Kleptotrap[]
Kleptotrap is a non-damaging entity found in various worlds. It is shaped like a pink, striped gift box and has a yellow bow. When the player approaches it, it starts running and hopping around for a good while, sometimes stopping due to exhaustion, before disappearing. If the player defeats it before it disappears, it will offer a reward of Magic Stones, coins, items, and a musical bonus called Showtime: Unlimited Magic!. The "Showtime: Unlimited Magic!" power is activated when its icon (a glowing yellow music note in a white circle with a yellow border) is clicked on after being received. This ability has a catchy, Latin-inspired dance tune play for a while, causing foes to be distracted and dance around for a several seconds, giving the player an opportunity to attack, and allowing use of special magic without consuming MP, which is especially useful in boss battles. (the Final Boss Ghosts won't dance, however.) It concludes with a big blast of magic that harms any ghosts nearby.
Waxlite[]
The Waxlite is a blue ghost with a pink bowtie and a candle on its head. It will occasionally spit fireballs at you from its mouth. The Max Waxlite is a stronger version that has a reddish hue and throws three fireballs instead of one.
Screama Ballerina[]
The Screama Ballerina is a white ghost with a skirt and 2 black, slender hands. The enemy attacks by doing ballet, twirling towards the player. Later in the game, The Mean Screama Ballerina, with a more bluish hue, can be found. It differs from its weaker variant by abruptly crashing forward instead of slowing down after completing its deadly ballet routine.
Polterspike[]
Polterspike is a purplish-looking spiked ghost with a yellow thing that looks like hair around its neck. Its attack is to strengthen its spikes while remaining stationary, leading the player to attack it from a distance. It also expands the more it gets hit and stays like that for a while before shrinking back to its original size. Bolterspike is a more powerful variation with a yellowish hue and a top hat on its head
Boingo[]
The Boingo is a purple jester-themed ghost with a spring as a leg. It starts bouncing around, towards the player, for a short time. Then, it dives toward the player more swiftly. The Bingo Boingo is a black-colored, stronger variation which doesn't dive towards the player and keeps bouncing around until it's defeated.
Drillthril[]
Drillthril is a mole-like enemy encountered in Alice's World. It starts its attack routine by wandering underground, twirling up, then back underground (during this period and the next, it is vulnerable). Then, it rises, gives out a warning, and lunges at the player before getting dizzy and starting its routine again. The Illthril is a stronger variation with a green hue found later on.
Whakka[]
Whakka is an orange/yellow ghost first found in the 2nd portion of Alice's World. It slams its hammer to the ground, getting it stuck, then rapidly brings it down while pursuing you until it gets tired. It can also rapidly swing it around in a circle once, from which it will either slam the hammer a few times or get exhausted. A stronger, blue variation, Thwakka, has an attack that makes its hammer larger before delivering a big blow, which deals a massive amount of damage (and has been said to deplete all hearts instantly).
Polyrollon[]
The Polyrollon is a brown ghost that looks like an armadillo. It rolls around in circles for a long period of time, then stops for a while before continuing again. A purple variation, the Roly-Polyrollon, rolls towards the player once before stopping for a few seconds. It repeats this pattern until it is defeated.
Flaptrap[]
Flaptrap is a white and red ghost with two black arms serving as wings. First, it starts flying around before diving towards the player. Sometimes, when it dives, it gets stuck in the ground, leaving it free to be damaged for a short time. There is a greener variation called Flappity-Trap, which dives towards the player more frequently, often with multiple dives in succession.
Fawhoosh[]
Fawhoosh is a skeleton-like ghost covered in armor that sprouts fire. It has several attacks: Crawling speedily towards the player, producing "flame spots" in front of it that damage the player, and breathing fire. Baboosh is a stronger variation that is first encountered as a Boss Ghost in an episode of Aladdin's World.
Zhelli[]
The Zhelli is a blue wisp-like ghost resembling a jellyfish that appears in Jack's World. It can shoot ink at you, creating ink puddles on the ground, and emit damaging electricity particles while floating towards you. Zhellitin is a pink version of Zhelli who has a layer of flippers that Zhellitin spreads and if the player touches them, it takes away HP from the player.
Disney Magical World 2[]
Most of the ghosts from Disney Magical World appear again in Disney Magical World 2. Below are the ghosts that were NEWLY added in Disney Magical World 2.
Buzza-Bozz[]
Buzza-Bozz is a small yellow ghost. To attack, Buzza-Bozz charges and glides towards the player while producing an electrical charge around itself. The electrical charge is part of the attack because when the player walks into the electrical charge, the player loses HP. Sometimes, Buzza-Bozz will perform an action where it will remain stationary and expand into a dome shape that is harmful for the player to touch. Buzza-Bozz also has a tendency of duplicating by splitting into two (usually smaller versions) of itself. Buzza-Bozz is first introduced in the episode "Gather Ghost Data" in Lilo & Stitch's World. Throughout the episodes, the player fights off many Buzza-Bozzes. Buzza-Bozz is also appears as a boss ghost at the end of the same episode. Obviously, when it appears as a boss ghost, it is much larger, stronger, and much more durable than it usually is.

Trivia[]
- If you are a certain distance from the ghosts, they will look around for you until you are back in range, and fall asleep if you aren't in close proximity to them (some ghosts are asleep when they appear). If you get far enough from where they spawned, they will vanish until you enter the area they were in again.
- They will also sometimes laugh when they hit you, when they are dancing to the power obtained by defeating a Kleptotrap (see its section above), or for no known reason.
- There are several types of enemies: standard enemies (the basic form of the enemy), large enemies (larger versions of ghosts that may drop a Magic Stone), powerful/nightmare/mini-boss/chest-guarding enemies (ghosts with a ghastly purple fog surrounding them that are stronger than normal that guard chests with glowing green locks and chains that will open when they are defeated and are usually optional), Boss Ghosts (powerful and large ghosts fought at the end of an episode), and Final Boss Ghosts (unique ghosts that serve as some of the most powerful bosses in their worlds).
- The ghosts' A.I. completely disregards other obstacles in the way and only aims for the player. This leads to mishaps such as ghosts getting stuck behind walls (though they can still hit you if you're close enough), travelling out of bounds, accidentally running into other ghosts (though this doesn't affect them at all), and even being defeated by damaging obstacles, namely the walking hedges in the hedge mazes of Wonderland. (If they get defeated in such a way, it won't count for the "number of ghosts defeated" combo chain.)
