The Magic Dungeon is a place in Castleton unlocked with 60 stickers. It is a quest area where the enemies change every time. The player fends off ghosts in order to collect items on each floor. The ghosts there are assorted and are usually very strong, which sometimes make the area a lot like the Bonus Episodes. The items found there (by chest, gathering, or fishing) are always random and are usually of the rarer type, so this is a good place to stock up on supplies. A magic chest will appear after the floor is completed, with different items for each floor.
Every time the player visits the magic dungeon, a quest will begin. The quest's format and structure will always be the same with the goal being to reach the bottom floor of the dungeon. They will be placed in a small round nook room where they must walk into a large round room in which ghosts and other quest features will appear. Two gates will arise, blocking the player from entering the nook room to the North and the one to the South(which is the one from which they came). There will also be a fishin' hole and possibly areas to gather items. The player must kill all of the ghosts in that room. After the player defeats the enemies, a magic chest will appear in the center of the room and the gates will open, allowing them to enter the nook rooms again. A pink area portal ( a portal that exits the player from the quest and ends the quest) will appear in the nook room whose entrance is to the South and a blue area portal ( a portal that transports the player to the next stage of the quest) will appear in the room to the North. If the player takes the pink portal, they will end the quest and still get all of their items that they have collected so far. One might to choose to take the pink portal if they have low HP and do not have enough magic stones to revive (possibly if they opened the magic chest and lost all their magic stones). One might also take the pink portal if they fear that they will not survive the next stage. (Keep in mind that if the player loses all their HP and does not have enough magic stones to revive, they will lose all of the items that they have collected and they will be exited from the quest). If they take the blue portal, they will continue the quest and will proceed to the next floor of the dungeon where the same exact pattern will be repeated with the nooks, the gates, the enemies, the chests, and the portals. They might want to take the blue portal if they want to take the risk to try and collect more items or if they want to complete the goal of reaching the bottom floor. The player will continue to go through floors. On some floors, there may be a chance that there will be no enemies and instead there will be several treasure chests & magic chests that the player can collect items from. After the player completes the final floor, a pink portal will appear that the player can take to exit the quest. The dungeon quest will have a specific amount of floors which depends on how many stickers the player has. The more stickers the player has, the more floors the dungeon will always have from then on. Of course, like it was stated, the player can opt out of the next floor once they have completed a floor and walk away with their collected items. Deeper in the dungeon, there are recipes for secret wands that are some of the most powerful in the game.
Below are the number of floors in the dungeon corresponding to how many stickers the player has.
Magic numbers[]
These are the dungeon's Magic numbers in the first game.
- 60 stickers unlocks the dungeon itself, with only the first floor available.
- 65 stickers unlocks the second floor.
- 70 stickers unlocks the third floor.
- 75 stickers unlocks the fourth floor.
- 80 stickers unlocks the fifth and final floor.
- A recipe may be made available in the dungeon when a certain floor is unlocked.
Episodes (Disney Magical World 2)[]
In Disney Magical World 2, the Magic Dungeon has a set list of episodes rather than the unlimited randomized quests from the first game. However, the contents of the floors still randomly change.
- Chip and Dale Need a Thing!
- Goofy's Missing Keys
- The King's Magic Cauldron
- Minnie's Missing Dish
- Mickey's Request
