Magic Stones are collectibles that you can find in quests. They are red, glowing, and seemingly levitating gemstones that somewhat resemble a diamond. You can press L to use up one stone, which fills up your HP gauge. The more Magic Stones you have at the end of the quest, the rarer and more plentiful the materials that the Magic Treasure Chest gives out will be. There are several ways to obtain Magic Stones:
- Defeating more powerful ghosts, especially Boss Ghosts, will reward you with some Magic Stones.
- Final Boss Ghosts in particular will always drop 3 Magic Stones in addition to other rewards.
- Kleptotraps may occasionally drop them.
- Also, for each 10 ghosts that you successfully hit in a row, you will earn 1 Magic Stone. The chain is broken if you get attacked or if you don't defeat a ghost within an amount of seconds.
- Magic Stones can even be found without having to combat others, being randomly located in chests and within patches or sparkles in the ground.
- Sometimes, using a Special Magic attack on a ghost while it is cooling down will make it drop a Magic Stone. This will not work on Final Boss Ghosts and most smaller ghosts. (NOTE: needs to be known if it can be done twice on the same enemy)
Trivia[]
- Magic Stones have a unique sound when collected. They make a sort of low dropping noise, a more subdued and calm equivalent to the sound made by common items when collected.
- Unlike other items, Magic Stones tend to bounce around for a little bit before hitting the ground and making a complete stop. This may get irritating if the stone gets stuck behind a chest, leaving it to bounce in place forever. They sometimes will get stuck out-of-bounds even if they don't bounce at all. Thankfully, the player may be able to collect the stuck Magic Stone if it bounds in their direction.
