Disney magical world items

The player selects the "wood" material option.

Materials are an essential type of item for any furniture, clothing, fishing rods, wands or café food to be crafted, and also come in handy for doing favors for residents and characters. "Cloth & Leaves" materials, wood, minerals, and even sometimes flowers are used to craft clothing and furniture. Food materials are used to create menu items at the café. "Other" materials are used to create a multitude of types of items. Most precious items are not valid materials while some of them such as star medals and sorcerers medals are. Seeds are not particularly materials but they are planted in order to create certain materials.

Seeds still get categorized as materials in the game though since they are also collectable items with similar functions as other materials.

Precious items are categorized as materials when the player visits McDuck's but many of them are not justifiably counted materials because can not be used to craft anything. However, those not-material items MAY have other uses OR they are simply collector's souvenirs. The sorcerer's medals and star medals are precious items that ARE valid materials.

Types of Materials[]

Importance[]

When going to Daisy's Boutique, players need crafting materials in order to craft clothing from Daisy's catalogue. They will also need materials to craft furniture, fishing rods and decorations from Chip & Dale's Workshop. When going to the café, players will need food materials to make café recipes.

Sometimes, characters (residents and Disney characters) will ask for you do do them favors. Some of the favors might involve giving them a certain material. When a player returns a favor, the character will reward them with something which can again possibly be a material.

At McDuck's, players can sell whatever items they choose to sell to Scrooge McDuck. This includes materials.

Obtainment[]

There are several ways to find materials from all 8 categories. Any gathering is harvesting items from around the worlds. A glittering effect coming out of the ground or a structure in a specific area usually indicates that a material item can be harvested from there. Some materials can be bought at McDuck's where Louie sells them.

Materials can be found by fishing. When a fish is caught, it coughs up an item for the player to keep. The item that the fish gives to the player usually is a mineral but it could possibly throw up a different kind of material if the player is lucky enough.

Materials can be found on quests, other episodes & in the dungeon as well. Before starting an episode, players can view what materials can possibly be found in that episode. They can also view how rarely each item appears in that quest. During the quest, the player can go fishing, harvest materials out of the ground, and they can open treasure chests in which there may be materials. If the player dies in the episode, and does not have enough magic stones to continue, they will lose all of the materials they have gathered during the quest and they must start over if they want to regain the materials. At the end of most quests, there is a large chest called the Magic Treasure Chest. The player must use all of their magic stones to open the chest and the more magic stones they have, the more luxurious the treasures inside are. In the dungeon, it is the same situation with the treasure chests.

Materials can be found by completing favors for characters. Every time the player returns a favor to a character, the character will give them something in return. Usually, the item that the character gives the player is a material, though sometimes it may be an item that isn't a material, like a seed or recipe.

A material may be found in the present box that occasionally appears on the player's bed in their bedroom.

Trivia[]

  • Like said earlier, many of the items from the "precious items" category are not really materials. An example of one of these types of items is fishing rods. They are categorized as precious items because there is no other category for them to fit under. The same way precious items are all categorized as materials. Anyways, the fishy thing is the fact that real materials are needed in order to craft fishing rods, but then fishing rods are invalidly categorized as materials.
