The Material log is where the player can save the recipes of the items (café dishes, clothing, furniture, decorations, fishing rods, wands, etc.) that they want to be able to craft.
- In Disney Magical World, the material log is called "Recipes" so you would be saving recipes to "recipes". However, in the second game, that was when they dubbed it "Material log".
In both games, the player can save recipes that they are working to make into their "Material log". The player can open their material log in their main menu. When looking at the material log, the player can see which recipes they have saved and they can look at which materials they need to complete each recipe. When looking at the materials, they can see all the details of the material including its rarity, its theme and where and how to find it. It is a quite useful tool if you have a lot going on in the game, and it's a good way to keep organized.
If the player finds an item that is needed for one of the recipes in their material log, the game will notify them at the bottom of the screen. The notification will say which recipe(s) the item is for. If the player is scrolling through an episode board, and is scrolling through the items that can possibly be found on each episode, if a material that is needed for one of their saved recipes is there, a recipe icon will show up next to the item's listing.
There are three types of recipe icons: A red recipe icon means that the player still needs the item, a yellow icon means that the player has the item but is still missing other items from the recipe, and a green icon means that the player has the item and all of the other items from the recipe.
Once the player collects all of the items from a recipe, returns to the shop at which they can craft the item and crafts the item, they will get the option to remove the recipe from their material log.
