Residents are the local NPCs of Castleton and some of the other worlds as well. They may ask for requests including café requests and favors. They also enjoy eating at the café.

In Disney Magical World 2, they are referred to as locals corresponding with the world they are from (E.g. Castleton local, Arendelle local, Hawaii local) rather than "residents".

On your map, they are represented by a red or orange pin if they're requesting a favor.

There are 6 kinds of resident types in Castleton, who are sorted by gender and age. They can either be male or female, and either be a child, teen/young adult, or adult, bringing the total number of classes of residents to 6. They each have their own quotes and greetings that are specific to each type, and also have certain types of favors that can be completed. The residents also wear different kinds of outfits depending on the season you are currently in. Some of their quotes not only change with the seasons, but also reflect events that happen in-game (McDuck's having clearances or rare items, the café having a popular menu, characters being around, new items in the boutique/workshop/café, fireworks, etc.) You can find a list of resident quotes here.

Trivia[]

  • Upon entering Castleton for the first time, there are four residents in the area before the steps to the plaza that can't be found elsewhere, and they disappear once the main game begins. They include: an auburn-haired woman with a Goofy apron and a styles of ears, a young light brown-haired girl with a casual t-shirt and Minnie ears with a red bow (that resembles one of the recurring resident types), a man that looks like the Chancellor of Castleton, but with a chef's apron and a mustache, and a young man with short orange hair and a red Mickey Posh shirt. It is unknown if their clothes change in different seasons. The data on these residents can be found in this YouTube video in brittanydill's walkthrough of the first game.
